The world as social media geeks as myself knew it has changed forever! Well, actually… not even a little bit, but we were all pretty eager to get our hands on Instagram  version 4.0 introducing a new 15 second video feature.  I’m not going to get into whether this new shiny toy is the future of social media or if it’s going to be Vine’s maker or not. I am just going to highlight a few folks and brands who n-n-n-n-nailed it in their first go around with Instagram video.

1. Kevin Hart – @kevinhart4real

Funny man Kevin Hart was just saying what we were all thinking… as usual…

2. #NBAFinals – @NBA

What better stage to start blasting out realtime video content on than Game 7 of the NBA Finals? The social media minds over at the NBA wasted no time posting an inside look at American Airlines Arena as the Heat and Spurs prepared for battle.  The Heat took home the Larry O’Brien, but @NBA took home about a bazillion double taps. That’s all anyone really wants anyways.

3. Doritos Locos Tacos – @TacoBell

Because fire is cool and because tacos make me happy inside…

4. Christina Warren – @film_girl

It wasn’t so much the Instagram vid of Mashable senior tech analyst Christina Warren’s messy desk, but the quick insight on how to integrate the video with web.  Shortly after the update was made available, Warren hit Twitter to school some fools on how to embed these new Instagram vids in HTML5. What else would you expect from the social media news site’s chief techie? If you scroll through the conversation, Christina even fields some responses related to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

 5. Test Spin – @Target

Target does a fine (and literal) job with jumping into Instagram video here. Killer shades, little dude!
