Hi there! My name is Casey Semenza and I’m from a small farm town near Reading, PA but have a the heart of a city girl. At Bad Rhino I will be working on client social media tasks as well as helping Bad Rhino with their own social media marketing.
I am a rising junior majoring in Digital Communications and Social Media at Cabrini College. I am currently involved in Cabrini’s Advertising Club which takes on clients for social media, public relations and marketing help. I am also a member of the Animal Activist club and we promote animal welfare and work with other organizations to stop all kill shelters and cruelty towards animals.
I knew I wanted to be in Communications from the time I was a sophomore in high school and after switching majors to biology, I quickly realized that being a Communications major was best for me. I love being able to be creative, lead a team and participate in a team to bring a goal together. I also enjoy how I can express myself through media such as telling compelling stories through pictures or reporting on a local or national issue.
One of my strongest skills is being an excellent interpersonal communicator and thats how I knew I belonged in this major. Fall 2015 I am looking forward to gaining even more knowledge on the art of Communications by taking courses such as public relations, journalism, integrated marketing and video production. Each course at Cabrini College prepares you for real jobs and helps develop a professional detailed portfolio which is a huge reason I chose Cabrini.
When I’m not in my school’s Communications wing, you will find me at the gym doing what I love most; lifting weights! I also really enjoy kickboxing and I like to try different classes out such as Zumba or acroyoga. I love outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, snowboarding and paddle boarding; I’m always looking to try new things! Speaking of new things, I love trying new and strange foods. I think the strangest food I have ever eaten was sea urchin; and I liked it!
I am really excited to start my internship with Bad Rhino and learn invaluable information on social media marketing. The field of Communications is always evolving and with my constant need to learn new things and to stay on trend, I think I will fit in just fine!
