Facebook Messenger is preparing to launch a new “Instant Games” platform that allows friends to play lightweight games with one another. Facebook has been casted out of the gaming world by Apple’s iOs and Google’s Android. But by building this gaming platform into the Facebook’s App Messenger it uses the app as a portal to mobile web apps. Users could come to Messenger to play Instant Games, challenge friends via Facebook Messages and even earn Facebook a cit of in-game purchases, says TechCrunch.
The maker of Crush Crush King.com is already testing one of these Instant Games called “Shuffle Cats Mini” and other studios including Big Viking also appeared to be prepping for the Instant Games launch. Facebook plans to release a developmental kit or tool later this month.
