FACEBOOK-2While this change should not greatly affect the reach of posted content to Facebook, the algorithm has without a doubt changed.

The first aspect of the news feed algorithm change deals with “trending topics.” If a users Facebook friends are all talking about a common topic (Miley Cyrus, Ray Rice, ISIS, etc.) the topic will become trending on their news feeds.

The second change will go to the timing of comments and likes. Instead of merely counting the amount of “likes” on a post, Facebook will now take into consideration when the likes were clicked in order to decide if a post will be put to the top of the newsfeed.

According to Post Planner, Because this is not a strong change, Facebook urges business pages to continue pushing relevant content to their followers just as they had before.
