Today, Google Product Manager Eran Arkin announced that Google+ will soon begin testing advertisements. The ads, which are known as +Post ads, allow brands to take a piece of their public Google+ content and turn it into an ad, according to Arkin.

“Bringing together the sharing capabilities of Google+ and the reach of our ad products has already allowed advertisers to better connect with customers, and customers to better discover what others are thinking,” Arkin said in a post on Google+.

Advertising is certainly not new to the social media world, but with Google+ jumping onboard, brands now have yet another way to reach customers and promote their products and services.

Currently, Google has been partnering with brands like Toyota USA (see embedded video), Ritz crackers and Cadbury UK.
