Social Media Fail

The title pretty much says it all.

NBC 10 Philadelphia was posting on social media today (Monday) about the snow storm that is set to arrive in the area on Tuesday.  Their posts on Facebook & Twitter included a link that should have taken people to a more in-depth look into the storm; however, the wrong link was copied and posted into the article.

An extremely wrong link.

Instead of taking the audience to more detail about the storm, the link went to the Facebook page of a recent murder victim who had been shot and killed over the weekend in front of her mother.

NBC 10 was most likely researching the victim’s Facebook page for research and had copied the link for another story.

The below post is embedded from their page AFTER they corrected the link. Since the time of this posting, comments about the blunder have been deleted (the screenshot above is just a sampling of the many, many comments left by upset Facebook users).
