We are down to the semi-finals in the NBA playoffs and our semi-final for the top playoff cover photos in the NBA. The remaining eight teams are utilizing their cover photos in very different ways. Some are using it as an easy way for their fans to track their progress through the playoffs while others are just simply showing they are in the playoffs.

The idea behind this post is that the cover photo is the first thing that you see when you visit a company page, and the same is true for when you look up your favorite sports teams online. It is an easy way to keep customers, or in this case, fans informed on how the team is doing.

Let’s take a look at how the remaining eight teams are using their cover photos to relay information to their fans!

Clippers

1. Los Angeles Clippers

Ranked No. 3 in the Western Conference but No. 1 on our list. Their “We Are One” campaign started after the life-time ban of their owner Donald Sterling, showing they are one team with one goal in the playoffs. Very powerful.

Nets

2. Brooklyn Nets

Ranked No. 6 in the Eastern Conference but No. 2 on our list because of their great cover photo. The Nets use Kevin Garnett, the face of their franchise, and change it daily to update fans on when their games are, the network the game will be broadcast on, as well as promotion details (especially useful for fans going to the game).

Heat

3. Miami Heat

Ranked No. 2 in the Eastern Conference but fall to No. 3 on our list. They have the face of their franchise, LeBron James, included in their cover photo, which includes upcoming game information and details on their “White Hot” run.  They also do a good job at incorporating a sponsor into their cover photo without making it overbearing.

Blazers

4. Portland Trail Blazers

Ranked No. 5 in the Western Conference but No. 4 on our list. Even though they aren’t doing well in their series against San Antonio, they have a great cover photo. They have an eye-catching photo from a tip off against the Spurs and the record of their series.

Thunder

 5. Oklahoma City Thunder

Ranked No. 2 in the Western Conference and No. 5 on our list.  Their cover photo is basic but it shows the entire team, united.

Pacers

6. Indiana Pacers

Ranked No. 1 in the Eastern Conference but down to No. 6 on our list.  The Pacers have every player’s face in their cover photo, with star Paul George in the center.  We’re digging the “Blue Collar, Gold Swagger” slogan on the cover photo too, as it is both catchy and reflects the team’s color scheme.

Wizards

7. Washington Wizards

Ranked No. 5  in the Eastern Conference but No. 7 on our list.  They have their three best players on the photo, with John Wall serving as the focal point. They use their #DCRising hashtag and their profile picture compliments the cover photo. They also incorporate their sponsors seamlessly.

Spurs

8. San Antonio Spurs

Even though they are ranked No. 1 in the Western Conference they find themselves last on our list of top NBA playoff cover photos. They simply use their basic logo and toss in the word “playoffs”, but hey, they’re dominating in the second round, so maybe simple is best?

Cover photos obviously don’t relate to how the teams will do in the playoffs, but it’s still fun to rank them! Who is your pick for the No. 1 spot in our NBA cover photo championship? Tweet your thoughts to me: @BIG_SIPS!
