TWITTERJust a couple months after Twitter attempted to help users rid their feeds of content they didn’t want to see, (with the advent of the “Mute” feature) Twitter now is finding another way to make the feed louder. Twitter is currently testing the showing of tweets from users you do not follow, but that your followers follow.

Earlier in the week, a user reported seeing a tweet from an account that they did not follow. The said tweet had a “Follow” icon at the bottom right of the post and a notation at the top left explaining that the account was followed by someone the person reporting the occurrence was following. While this is the earliest report, there is no telling how long this has been going on.

While this could be a great way for accounts to gain followers, it also seems like a sure-fire way to aggravate a whole bunch of Twitter users by clogging up their feeds with accounts they have no interest in. Do you like the idea of suggested tweets? Or do you believe that Twitter should just stick to letting its users pick and choose who they see on their feeds?
